Cigarette lighter slot too big for anything
Yeah it's too big and almost everything I put in there wiggles and falls out almost immediately.
I googled this subject and found part of an answer on Pelican Parts. Someone suggested duct tape, or black electrical tape, but then I won't be able to use the accessories in another car.
There was mention of a "Some phone stores have a sleeve that you pop in to fix the problem" but I can't find any.
any ideas? sources?
PS My 911 jack is also a bit big, but not quite as exasperating.
PPS, the Porsche electric air compressors have a plug that's too big to fit into my non porsches, so clearly non std jacks are being used.

My Escort 8500 radar detector came with a sleeve that fits around the power plug, and fits well in my 993's power outlet. You might try ordering one from them, if you can't find one elsewhere.

Motorola cell phone 12 V chargers came with a plastic sleeve which made the plug fit in euro cigar lighter outlets. Maybe they still do?
