Default WTB: Porsche 914 Headstud, Pics..

My dad and I are rebuilding his 1973 Porsche 914 2.0. Its one hell of a fun project and hopefully will be a blast to drive once its done. Last night we assembled the engine to a short block, installed all the headstuds and on the very last one the stud somehow began folding in on itself. Well long story short it got stuck and we couldn't remove it.

I welded a nut to it but the stud snapped as soon as we tried to loosen it. We finally got it out after welding a 924 tie rod crown nut to the base of the stud.

Question to you all, does anyone have a 914 headstud they would like to sell me? Its the longer of the two on a 914 engine (222mm long).

Everyone like pictures so here are some just to keep you all entertained []

Sorry I don't have a head stud for you but I think you should swap steering wheels and put that one from the John Deere...

skl- I agree with that, nothing runs like a Deere, or a Porsche for that matter.
