914 Longblock Help
Considering a 914 mill for a custom project car...
Can anyone enlighten me as to what a 914 engine, costs. A basic, non-stuck, engine with all intake, carbeuration and other longblock items... essentially a runner if it was mounted on a bench. No custom or "built" engines, please.
FYI - I am not in a position to buy at present, but I am trying to price this for something in mid 2009.

Hi Willie, I will offer my .02 as I have a '73 2.0l long block that I've partially disassembled. The engine was from a running car, but original and really in need of a freshening. Tin & Fuel Inj. removed but included I'm thinking I will ask in the $450 range. I recall seeing used 2.0 engines for $600 plus depending on condition and rebuilt ones for $1800++. What is your budget and goals?
