Default I've done it now!!!

OK, just picked up a '74 2.0. We've been a Porsche family for decades (currently an '08 Carrera S cab) but never undertaken a restoration project before. We are in Orange County, CA and need recs for an engine/trans builder, paint/bodywork and upholsterer. Can ya help? Thanks in advance. Just picked up the car today. I'll post pics soon.

You can probably take care of your interior needs by contacting the people at Appearance and Performance . Com... Condense all that of course. There is a local group called NARP you might hook up with to find a body shop. They have a website as well and get together for BBQ often. Joe Sharp seems to be the ringleader.

We are going to have to see pics and then we can make better suggestions from there I think. Congrats on the new 914! You got one of the best 914's out there for year and model.

74 2.0 sounds awesome. Then again, I'm slightly biased

Pics coming soon. It's Chrome yellow, original paint, needs repaint. Front right corner fender bender. Runs pretty good but feels like a broken motor mount and idle searches. Tranny shifts well up and down. Interior OK but will need redo. Has original Fuchs. SoCal car so no rust issues, even battery tray still has original paint. Looking forward to getting on with the project so any suggestions/recommendations for Orange County, CA are very much appreciated. Any site sponsors want to offer services?
