Default 914-6 Hood, Burst Muffler FREE

I sold my 914-6 and have an unpainted, primed hood in perfect condition. It was going to be painted and installed but I found that it was easier to repair the original.
I also have a Burst Muffler. The muffler has rust but is very usable. Louder that the stock.

FREE to anyone willing to pick up in Westchester, NY

email me with interest.

Will it fit a 4 cylinder? Do you have a picture of it?

I'm in Dutchess county.

Default Fit 914 - 4

Don't know if the hood will fit the 4 cylinder. I expect that it would. I am less confident in the muffler fitting. Maybe someone else can chime in who knows.
I will take pics of the parts within a couple of days.

Hi David, I didn't specify... but I was asking about the exhaust.

For others, the hood will fit any 914.

The 4's and 6's have different exhaust geometries and aren't compatible. The 4 cylinder Bursch works well. The 6 cyl. muffler is restrictive (and not equal-length, if that's important to you) for both a modified 2.7L and larger motors. I don't know about 2.0 liter (original) or 2.4 6 cyl. motors... no experience with them and Bursch together. But the 2L may be fine since it is the same displacement as the largest of the 4cyl. motors.

One note: If you use the 6 cylinder muffler, get a 6 cyl. hanger or make your own. The 4 cyl. hanger isn't strong enough.

Hi dmilzoff,

You told that you have a hood for the 914, I will be very interested. Is the hood is free also? Can you send me a picture of it at guylabr@videotron.ca. I am living in Quebec city in Canada G1Y1L8, how much for the shipping and handling?

Thank you very much!
