I did a seach and couldnt find this one. I have a 1974 914 with a siezed 1.8 engine. I just bought two 2.0 engines for $500. One is complete minus the computer and Harness its of a 1975 914. Woud I be able to use the computer from the 1.8?
Would i need to used the 1.8 Injectors or shoud I keep the ones that came with the 2.0. The throttle body on the 2.0 is defferent so it looks like I would have to use the one from the 1.8 unless I can figure out how to retrofit the harnes for the airflow meter to work on the 2.0 looks ike the 2.0 has a Map sensor.
Thanks for any Information.

That seems almost impossible. The 2.0 is D-Jetronic injection (Manifold Absolute Pressure controlled). The 1.8 is L-Jet (mass air flow). The whole systems is different you can't swap pieces. Also, the injectors on the 1.8 are smaller, which means you might be able to run them with higher pressure to get enough fuel in there, but that is a fire hazard to no end.
D-Jet parts for the 2.0 liter engines are not too difficult to come by. Use those. Or use carburator (Weber 40s work will on 2.0s)

Thanks I have the complete 2.0l with all the sensors so I just need the DME and the engine harness. I'll be checking on Ebay from time to time. Unless some one local near the LAX airport wants to trade a 2.0 DME and engine harness for the complete 1.8L engine that I'll be taking out soon. The 1.8l does not turnover so it will need to be rebuilt.
I have experience with the 944 but not with the 914.
