Default Track Event - only "stock" 914 there!

I was at Potomac PCA's Summit Point event this past weekend. Mine was the only "stock"ish 914 there. 3 others were in attendance (a blue/tan one with a 3.2 and flares, a Tangerine with a 2.5l 6, flares, slicks, full cage etc and a Yellow one with a 6 of some size, flares etc.)

Even more challenging was even thinking of keeping up the the 944s, 911, GT3s etc that were in my run group. Somehow, no matter how excellent the handling, 86hp is still only 86 hp Mostly I got a great left arm workout giving out passing signals

Car ran without a drama. Rear sway bar came loose and needed to be tightened. Oil temps and pressures were great. Brakes were hardly needed.

Had a great time. Looking forward to the next event!

Nothing a nice 3.6 would fix.

When (if ever) does your 76 become smog exempt? Then you can put in the euro 2.0 pistons and some other stuff and have more power. Maybe 100?
It's what I did and just but sheer top of my head I'd guesstimate around 105 at the crank. Which I realize is only 10 over stock, but it's just nice to break triple digits.

Any fool can drive a car with big HP, but it takes a real man to learn to drive a momentum car. Well done!!!!

BUT a 914 is the ultimate momentum car and I think we can all agree on that.

But I might be taking my stock (and I mean factory stock) 1.7 on the track in the coming months and I am going to be a moving "bus stop" out there.
