I would bet it has a 3.2 in it! I have never driven mid-ohio but I really want to get out there someday. Thanks for sharing the video, what run group are you in? Nice driving sir.

Thanks, I'm not sure what the 914 had in it but it definitely had some pickup, at least as much as a new GT3 it seemed. It was advanced group which ended up being an interesting mix of cars.

If it's the same one I'm thinking - it does indeed have a 3.2 (owner, I think lives in OH..? And if it's the same one - I've driven that car in the Instructors group... Nice 914...!!!)

Couple of nits...

- Loosen your grip on the wheel!!
- Drive your own line - you are following the 914 (different handling - and you appear to be trying to hold the car on the 914 line, rather than letting your car track out while accelerating). Give it a try - and I'll bet your times get faster, smoother and you'll be "on" the apexes by a few more inches..!

All in all - GREAT VIDEO!!! If your YouTube clip has A LOT of views - I'm probably responsible for 'bout half of 'em .

Very cool Brad!!!

There's also a guy out there that runs Mid Ohio a lot with a 3.6. The last I saw the car there were no flairs on it, but that was 2 years ago.

Hey Matt & Jay!

Yea - honestly - I keep watching Brad's video - and keep thinking "dang - I MISS THAT!!!"!! So - I need to re-up my PCA membership... As you guys know - my track time has been limited with Rennlist & Rennwish - so, I should finally be "almost" normal in the near future

As I was watching Brad's vid as well - I dunno if I want to rebuild another 914 (with the 3.2/flares, etc..) I did before - or go an early 911 - like the '70 "white beast" I did years ago?? Funny enough - I got an e-mail from a fellow in MA who wants me to take his '70 911T, as it's been in a sad state of storage since 1979 (and is showing some rust areas).. Since I won't cut-up convert our '68 911L - I may have a "new to me" building project this winter - but SHEEESSSHHH - DO NOT TELL JENN! She has NO IDEA yet!!

Best to you - and in public/private - I also want to thank you and Matt for many years of support and "sanity" with Rennlist. It's not forgotten...
