Hello,
Quick question,
To check the oil level on a 76 with a type IV 2.5L engine. Should the engine be warmed and at idle like on my other two porsches (04' X50 TT & 95' 993) or with the engine off. Thanks in advance...AL Z
The real issue here is whether it is a DRY sump motor (like "real" 911s) or is it still a "wet" sump motor like 914's started out as. Given that it is a modded Type IV, it may or may not have also been converted to a dry sump system.
If a dry sump, check when the engine is warmed up and running.
