Place to buy seals?
I priced every single seal on pelican and I'm looking at about 3000. That's more than I really want to spend. A few I can do without however. Is there a less expensive place to buy them? There's about 2 seals on ebay so that won't do.

I gotta call around. I still have time anyway. The car is going in the paintshop within the month and sometime after that I'll need the seals in order to put the lids back on. Not to mention a hundred other things Some people call it a restoration although I call it an elaborate paintjob.
Slantnose: I noticed you have various cars that have been in my family. How do you like the corrado?
Jaj: You being a concours judge, is it going to significantly alter the cars value changing it from the original color to a different color from a different manufacturer and also adding things not originally equipped with the car, such as the center console and sway bars. Not trying to build a concours winner, but I don't want it to be an absolute failure either.

Hey there.
Yeah, love the Corrado!
Had it since early 1990.
I think alot of folks will be on both sides of the fence in regards to changing the color, especially another color not from Porsche.
However, when the seals and everything is apart, is the right time to do it...if me and I was against the current color, might choose another available for that model/year.
Swaybars and a factory console are nice additions in my book.
Good luck!

Color is always a tough decision. For me, if I couldn't do the whole car - engine comparment, trunks, jambs, etc. I wouldn't change the color. But, I'm pretty conservative when it comes to that.

+1 for what Matt said about the color. I don't think it would hurt the value of the car as long as it was done right (i.e. trunks, engine comparment, jambs, etc.). Some people might run from the car if you sell it however no matter how good of a job you do. Just my $.02.

The car has paint code L80E, so that being light ivory. It has been resprayed (poorly) some years before I got it in 2001 to a more grand prix white color. I don't know, I like green. Since I stripped all the paint from anywhere on the car and the basis was to paint just about everything, I might as well change it now. Funny thing is the engine compartment is actually rattle-can silver, and the underside of the rear trunk is black. I don't get it...
