Want a 914

Want a 914
I have a new Porsche. On a whim, I test drove a 914 at a dealer yesterday. My observations:
1. extremely noisy
2. almost no creature comforts
3. very low to the ground
4. very slow by modern standards
5. my girlfriend hates it
6. horrible sound system
My conclusion: I want one. I am in the Seattle area and I am willing to pay top dollar for the right car. I want a unmolested example that does not need any work or restoration. Anyone know of or have a car for sale that meets this description?

They are great aren't they! I don't have one to sell, but they are out there. Remember, rust is BAD! If there is a little in one place there is more in another.

914 Club is a good place to look. I don't know why, but 914s bring in so much more $$$ on the west coast then here on the east. Go figure as I think it is harder to find a good one in the east then it is on the west!

Sorry to hear that.
Yeah, 914's are great cars.
I've had this one for about 25 years.
Whenever I get irratated with it or tempted to sell, I cover it up and forget about it for a while, heh.
Certainly very special cars.
Anyway, hang-in there...

Marc, I was reading the list of cars in your sig, and you certianly have a good variety! I love seeing the whole spectrum of p-cars, and you have some other neat ones, too. (and it's a little scary that I have three of the same ones...)

Usual disclaimer, no affiliation, yadayada......
IIRC, the asking price with original wheels is $39K.
