Red face Cylinder/ head leak??

I removed the #3-4 cylinder head to remove a broken spark plug. The engine's back in, with Webers on and running. I think I have a leak between the cyl and the head, near #3. Is there a way to re-torque the head while the engine's in the car? And what are the "sealing rings" in my 914 book. I didn't see any when I took the head off.... I think. And Pelican doesn't list 'em as a part.
Hmmm... Got any ideas?

1st yes you can retorque the head while in the car BIG PITA.
2nd Are you sure it is the head/cylinder joint? More often then not it is the header to exhaust port seal. I fixed mine by filing the tube flat and square then used new copper ring of course and coated both mating surfaces with permatex ultra copper.
