Want more Hp in my 1975 914-4
I am building a dragracin car with a 914-4 for my vw beetle, it's going to be my first time working on a engine especially porsche. i would love to people help me how to get hp for my engine. i will appreciatte it. thanx <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" /> ps. i'm new in this forum so HI EVERYONE!

I think you should stay with the 914 body it is lighter 
my car wieghs 1950 lbs. I have a 2.0L with US pistons 8.2 to 1 compression. WEB 86B cam. solid lifters, "mild port polish" more like port match. 44IDF carbs. SSI Bursch exhaust, Petronics in a 050 distributor. Goes like stink.
The guys over at "Shoptalk Forums" have so much hot rodding the type IV motor it will make your head spin.
