Angry need help!

I'm new to the Porsche world, and recently purchased a 1974 914 2.0. The engine runs great, but the clutch is about gone. I started stripping the car to restore it about a week ago. The entire interior has been taken out, and I am trying to get up the tar isulation on the floorpans. I spotted some suface ruston the floorpans, nothing serous yet. Does anyone know a good way to get the insulation up? I have scraped out nuch of it, and strated using a wire grinding wheel on the tough parts. Is there an easier way? Also having trouble removing the wiring harness from the center channel and rear firewall. I have already labeled the ends that are disconnected. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Brian
