Post Found something interesting in my engine today!

There is a box in my engine. It is not connected at all. It has "Ground" "Coil +" "Coil -" and a big three prong plug that might go to the distributor. It sais "crane cams XR-700" on it. What in the world is it for? Seems like iginition something. I think it's for Carbs or something, but I don't know. Any help appreciated.

Hello,

The Crane box is an old Crane ignition box. I assume since it's disconnected, either another aftermarket, or the original ignition system is running your engine.
