Exclamation Low cost 914

I am looking for a project car to do some light track and auto cross.

I am wanting a rust free (or little rust) 914.
With or without engine..... I have a 911 six that I intend to put in the car so the engine is not an issue.
Interior condition i.e.... seats, steering wheel are also not an issue as these will be replaced any way.

My budget is very limited so I am looking for a very low cost car / roller.

Good luck and happy searching, I bought my 74 last year Carbed 2.0L, Lowered, Little rust (I just stopped looking for it)
Paid 3K put another 1500 into it and am pretty happy with the results. I have come to the conclusion that I will never complete it only continually improve it Someday when I finish restoring my 928 (same story) I will maybe race the teener.

Get on the 914/9146 email forum and look for Mike Z or Brad Roberts. Both these guys locate and sell rust free Calif cars/rollers. Where are you located?
Chack out the All914.com classifieds too for cars.

I found my 914 through Collector Car Trader online:

Good luck!

I've got 2 rollers. A '73 that is petty solid rust wise. Battery tray is gone & a hole beneath it. The longitude looks solid though. No drive train or bumpers. $400 picked up. The second is a 70 with fiberglass gt flares. The flares have been on 15 years & look absolutely great. Have not found rust yet. Even battery tray is intact. No rust in the longitudes, Floor pan, Or in the trunks. Amazing! I just bought this car with no drivetrain 2 weeks ago. I paid $2000 for it. It is my next project but money talks. The right offer might get it out of me though. Anyway good luck & let me know if either interest you!
