Has anyone ever installed the Weber carbs. I've got a set of 44's I'm putting on, and I can't get the linkage to make sense! The plates for the cross bar don't seem to fit either way; when I get them on, the throttle linkage is all f*cked up. Help, anyone??

DUDE take a chill, 44IDF's is exactly what I have. I got the CB performance model just like they said would fit. NOPE the cross bar is to long. So what I did ws pitch a fit to CB performance to no avail. I ended up cutting the bar and re drilling the hole for the ball pivot.
Both brakets that sit on top of the carbs should have the mounting tange for the ball pivots to the front of the car. I selected the top holes. I then put the arms about 1.5 inches from each end. Now the tricky part I had to swap linkage stops and arms around from end to end and side to side to get the right combination so the carbs would actuate at the same rate.
Make sure you cut the hex bar square and center punch the end before drilling. <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" /> couple of these help too.
