Post Bumper Question

IsAre the 75 rubber bumpers and the previous steel ones interchangeable? If not how can I make them fit? I need a new rubbertop/got rear ended (only bumper damge) and I have a 75 bumper in my garage.

Not without major surgery. The '75 - '76 bumpers were supported by collapseable shocks that mounted through the body.

Actually, one can replace the 75,76 bumpers for the earlier bumpers without much of a problem. You can't go back the other way, however. Not that anyone would want to, the 75,76 bumpers are ugly as sin, not to mention ugly and heavy.
