Post broken bolt removal

looking for advice in removing broken bolt. when installing rear brake backing plates, the mounting bolt for the single rearward bolt broke. let this be a lesson to "chase" the threads on old, dirty, unused threads before using them. best drill bits from local hardware stores can't get thru. am not going to remove trailing arm to take to machine shop, would rather pull it to side with paper clip!!! any advice??

Where did the bolt break? If it sticks up a little bit, you could try using a grinder on it to make a slot and then using a screwdriver.
