1.8 exhaust/catalytic converter
I have the muffler removed from the 1.8 engine in prep for removing the engine. The tube/pipe that routes into the exhaust is completely severed. What is that for.
And how critical is the catalytic converter to the functioning of the engine. Can I replace with a 'test pipe' without adverse consequences to the running of the engine?
