My 74' 914 has little rust, but the door strike plates (below the sail panels) are rusted through on both sides. The passenger side has the cup over the strike plate bolts/adjustment block), but the driver's side is rusted through.

With the wheels removed it appears that there is a large L shaped bracket that holds this cup in place. Repair looks to be difficult and parts are not available. Does anyone have:
- Ideas on how to fix this
- Any pictures
- Any recommendations
