Post 2.0-4 Electromotive Tec II Swap for Carbs

Hello all,

I have a 914 race car with programmable Electromotive ignition (TEC 2) and fuel injection system installed and I'm looking to swap out for a weber setup so that I can more easily work on the car myself.

The Tec II has recently been upgraded with the latest software and chip. You would have to install your own crank trigger as I may be using the current one for an HPX. I'm just trying to simplify my car a bit so this system is probably better suited for a serious racer and/or a serious engine. Anyone out there wanting to upgrade, swap, etc?

Along these lines and more to the point of what I need is advice on the ideal carb setup for a 2.0 4 cyl?

Kind regards,

Ben

I would think that the efi would be easier to deal with than the carbs.

Keep the FI and go with a new SDS system, It is a much simpler system to program. Yes, I may be biased, but check out my group buy before you go back to carbs. they have several converts from your system.

I like the SDS, but am not satisfied with my setup yet. I'm in the process of some manifold changes to help low speed running. I have E cams and it has been tough to get low rpm light load running correct. Hopefully in a few weeks I will have my changes in place.
