Post 914 Tachometer/v6 engine

Hey everybody,it's been a while since my last post.I have the chevy v6 running hooked up to the 914 electrics. Can't seem to get the tachometer working though, with tach signal from the v6 coil pack.Been talking to the boys over at the 60degreev6.com site and they have been an enormous help with my wiring.Any ideas about the Tach?.....Steve

I have done a few engine swaps and I find the best thing to do is buy an aftermarket tach that you can switch the cyl # and install the movement into your case. On my 914 it was quite easy, just look for a tach that has the same angular sweep as the original. You will need to do a little fiddling and crafting, but it works. On the jc whitney site they list quite a few of the dial sweeps for the tachs they sell.

Have fun, if you are not already!
