Default 914's at the HSR Daytona Classic

Never saw so many great 914's in one place. Brumos had 2, driven by Hurley Heywood and Elliott-Forbes Robinson. Pix taken from Turn 1 and garage.
More pix on 356, 911, and Perf & Comp boards.
Regards, Doug

Thanks, Martin! I was the corner captain with SCCA at turn 1, so I did not get to snap as many pix as I would have liked. The cars are coming off of the tri-oval into the infield at a very high rate of speed so I'm always busy during the races. Daytona closes the garages right after the last race so I was scrambling to get a few garage shots. There were probably 8-10 other 914's I was never able to shoot...I wanted to get pix of the Brumos cars but they were garaged at the other end of the track. The drivers were very good--I don't recall any 914 which had an incident all weekend! I'll try and get more pix at Sebring the 1st weekend of December, although I don't know which corner I'll be at for the event.

Hey Martin! The fastest 914 at the event was the #59 Brumos driven by Hurley Haywood. He led the event on Saturday then retired about 2/3rds of the way through the 1 hour enduro (don't know why). It is a vivid orange. The #99 Brumos 914 won the event driven by Elliiott-Forbes Robinson. It is white with the classic red/blue Brumos stripes up the hood and down the trunk deck. I should be able to get more pix at Sebring-the paddock area is open much later and I'll make sure to get pix of the Brumos cars including interior.

Martin--found this picture of Hurley driving the 914-6gt. This is just as it appeared this past weekend. The color is officially signal orange.

The # 32 from Zotz racing is a fast car with a excellent driver. Ron Zitza is the driver and very respected by other drivers.
