What do you have to remove to get to the seatbelt on the driver's side? Mine doesn't retract well. I think it is all twisted in the retractor.

Pull out the seats (bolts that attach the rails to the hinges are behind the seat) and the back panel (IIRC, two screws near the base of each seat "cutout" area) then lift out. Remember to remove the interior light before removing panel, which exposes the belt retractors. See appropriate section in the Haynes manual for pictures and details.

Thanks again, Jim.
I did find this in the Haynes manual tonight. It makes it seem like you can basically slide the seats off the rails?! It must be more difficult than that.

Slide the seat all the way forward to expose the bolts holding the aft end of the rails in place. Remove the bolts and the seat should come out. although you may have to jiggle the seat's tilt lever to release the front catch. Same for re-installing, just drop the seat in, pull the lever up to get it in the front catch and to align the bolt holes in the rail with the hinges, and bolt it down.

I just realized that Jimbo3 was you, Jim. Thanks, the goblin is running pretty well after the first 60 seconds. difficult to start when cold, but hopefully, the carb tuning will alleviate some of that. I also think one wire is on its way out. It reads at a different rpm than the others with my meter.
