I remember this thread. I figured the only reason Matt made it through the track event was because he left the keys at the hotel and didn't make the first run group...

Time to bring back an oldie, but goodie! It was made offical yesterday and I was going to post this in the Racing/DE thread, but they suck over there. I thought our little core group here would appreciate this more here. Anyway, Matt Romanowski was named the PCA Zone 1 Chief Instructor. Our boy is taking over in 2013 for the 48 Hours at The Glen. It will ne nice to see this event return to the best DE event in the country. Way to go Matty!

Nice job Matt!

Have you guys considered having Bingo cards made up with various PCA positions and awards filling the squares? At a minimum it could give you ideas of what to shoot for next. And no Jay, making a team with the rest of your family would be against the rules.

That is crap, it isn't my fault I have 13 family members in PCA!

Little do they know that all 13 will be working at next years 48 Hours helping Matt.

Uh...for us left-coasters; what the heck is the 48 hours at the Glen? Watkins, I presume? Probably not a concours event, right?

The 48Hrs of the Glen is probably the oldest continuous DE event in PCA. This year is number 30something. It's a 3 day DE at Watkins Glen put on by Zone 1. It's a great time and a really fun event for anyone who can get there.

914 run group?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Hell, I might bring the 1.7 with all of its 76 HP if this group really happens. I might actually get to pass someone. Peter, if you come with the 1.7 we can hang in the back of the pack together.

LOL! Driving my 914 is like driving a brick with four flat tires! If someone with a GT3 needs a driver, I could be convinced to buy a plane ticket!

914 only run group sweet! But I like to harass the GT3's and Cayman S drivers, they hate being passed by a 914.

400 hp in a 2,000 pound car will let you do that! Especially if the track has corners...
