Hey guys...

I'm going to move this thread to the 914 Forum - where we can "carry on", without bumping the other for sale stuff, OK?? Be right back...

Ahh - OK - here we are..

martin - naw these are DE Events.. Matt is an Instructor... Jay is an Instructor.. Me - I just drive in any group I get out with.. I usually just go around the track a few times - take in the scenary - and go get some gas, a burger and fries... I usually also wave back to the folks in the corners who wave those silly blue flags at me.. Never figured our what the blue flags were all about..??

Anyway - Matt and Jay....

I wish I could make the NCR event in October.. Jen and I can't - as we'll be out of the country (seriously).. Not to pre-announce anything - but we are trying to do something that no other website has ever done. I'm not certain if any other organization has done the same - but, when it's announced, you folks can be the judge....

Stay tuned, OK?

As well - my best always to Matt and you Jay... And Martin? You have two mighty fine 914s.. I'm jealous... I'm also in awe of all you have done to bring my older 914 back to life... Simply OUTSTANDING!!!

Hey John,

Maybe the banquet?

I never did figure out those blue flags either. I did figure out that they wave the yellow at you and get excited when you take a 360* view of the track!

Beautiful shot of the garage "residents"!! I also appreciate both Jay's and my old 914 are closely guarded by those two-well-trained attack dogs, who appear to be keeping a watchful eye on the two cars....

As well - I was LOL when I saw the chair in the background!! Boy - does THAT look familiar!! The only thing missing are a few empty beer cans - and it could be my garage!!

You are going to LOVE Auto-X!! It was great the first (few) times I did it.. I gave it up in short order, tho'.. There are just too many cones getting in the way of what might have been a perfectly good straightaway.....

Here is the white 914 in one of the rare (very rare!!) Auto-X events it attended...

I remember seeing John auto-x, you could hear him yelling while on the course! You showed that course who was boss John!!!!! Now all we gotta do is show "Wrong-Way" Romanowski how to get around a course without looping it!

Even still Matt, the point of a drift is to find the edge and hold the car there! Not to a canon ball over it! Matt has on video a course worker running for his life! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny!

It was the radio - forgot to turn it down (That's my story - and I'm sticking to it.. )

As for Matt... He did show some fine car handling technique and novel ways around the course... In fact - I think he used more of the course than anyone else, so I can say that...

Matt is a one of a kind driver that is for sure! When I ride with him I use every name in the book to get him to go faster. Of course I would NEVER do this with any other student. But the videos of me in Matt's car is of me yelling at him and calling him names. It works too! He drives so much faster.
John, did you car have a radio? Those must be some speakers you had in there!!!!!

Were the speakers pointing out of the car?

Hey Wait! I don't remember the white car having a radio?

That was my point! Thats it, I am taking a NCR poll on who remembers John Dunkle screaming his way around the AX course! I also remember John at the Red Hook ripping the Marines around the building in the white car and them getting out with the biggest smile on their faces!
