Did It!!!!
hello all, i have been lurking on this side of the forum for awhile. but now i can come out of the closet. i bought a 71 914 1.7 L on ebay a few minutes ago.i am really excited....
it's not perfect, but those are the cars i like, projects are more fun than perfect restos.....will keep everyone update.
now i have to plan a trip to northern Virgina

well it's home. not as good condition as describe. the PO's description of minor rust was more than he said. floor pans will need some attention. front fenders and a new battery tray(batt currently mount in rear trunk).plus his 'tune up was attrotious. new cap,rotor,points,but old plugs. set the timing by "ear method"
list can go on, but i do love a challenge.
a few things i am searching for
a clean,bare passenger's door
rear deck lid
filler between rear lights
