Default New 914

Since my first car, which I still have after 35 years, isn't being made anymore, I got a new version of the next best thing, though it isn't from Germany...amazing how similiar it is...

Great car. My sentiments on thinking of the Elise as a "continuation" 914. Too bad I don't fit in one very well or I would find a way to get one into my garage!

The wife has been drooling for an Elise for a long time. But the house comes first, so we agreed to get a 914 in the meantime, then turn it into a race car after the Elise comes...I can't WAIT

Getting in and out of the Elise, for me, is a different story hehehe

It is easier to get in and out of the 914 however- it's about as tough as climbing over the roll cage on the spec Miata, but I guess that's part of the allure. The high sill however keeps the structure pretty damned stiff!

New 914?
Boxster. Not as fun, too heavy and refined, but think about it-
No roof, mid engine 2 seater, front and rear trunks, less power and less expensive that a 911.
I think that the relationship is there.
Enjoy your Lotus, I've driven one, it's a blast.
That's a Toyota motor, isn't it?
Good engine, we all know that they last forever.
