Default Loud Tapping noise after rebuild?

Hey guys. I just put the "new" heads on the car, installed it, and then it fired right up. There is however a pretty loud tapping noise that it seems comes from the #4 cylinder. It's louder underneath the car, and goes away when rpm exceeds 2500. I checked the valve clearanced and they are dead-on. I also checked the tightness of the nuts securing the exhaust to the cylinder head. Everything seems to check out. I know my timing needs adjusting. Could I just be hearing a misfire? The car does this hot or cold.

Hi:

Did you check your deck height?

All the valves adjusted to spec?

The deck clearance checked out. There shouldn't be any interference with valves and pistons. The valves are also adjusted to spec. I have no idea...
Is there any way to double check the clearance with the engine in the car?

Eliminate the electical ticking possability by disconnecting sparkplug wire to the number 4 cylinder.
