Default 914-6 drivers seat removal

Any suggestions for on how to remove the drivers seat on a 1970 sixer?

The seat will not move in the track. Is there a secret to removing the seat? The car has been parked in my garage for 22 years and I am just now getting around to working on it.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Slide the seat all the way forward, and then reach into I blelieve the slider closest to the passenger side from the back and release a catch and whole seat should slide out to the front- it is then easy to just take out. If everything is rusty, use some WD40 on the sliders first. Then you can work on the slider itself to clean it up , etc.

There should be a handle under the front right hand side of the seat as you sit in it.

If this is gone you need to find the bit where it broke off and lift it up to get the seat to slide forward.

The handles were weak and often broke when people pulled them too hard.
