Default Why?!

Why aren't there any 914s for sale in the southeast? Every time I find one that looks pretty good it's in California with an occasional car in the northeast or midwest. I know they suffer less rust in the west but it seems like even taking that into account there is still a disproportional number of cars on the left coast. If anyone knows of a good driver in the southeast for sale let me know. I prefer '74 or earlier.
Thanks

PS Auto Atlanta doesn't count. I'd prefer not to pay triple market value if I can help it.

I read (some where) that < 25% of ALL Porsches go to California?
IMHO you will be ahead of the game to buy a nice example. Rather than trying to get one back into shape. The parts alone can be expensive and hard to find. Good luck w/your search.
