Wink Rear trunk stuck

Got a 74 2.0L that sat for 30 years in the parents garage, had Weber’s put in before it was parked. So the owner ask me to get it going. Will O/H front calipers then clean fuel system, carbs to be O/H but no air cleaners. Got the front hood open but can’t get the rear open, got a key, sprayed PB Blaster in but no luck. I can push the release in but it does not open. I suspect the latch is very frozen, any trick or do I use the eight foot pry bar!

You can access the trunk latch by going through the plastic roof latch cups in the trunk which are on either side of the lower firewall, between the engine and trunk. Those white cups will push out and leave you a pretty big access hole to get a really long extension and release the bolts that secure the car latch and allow the trunk to open. Could be a bad latch or just that the trunk seal is essentially stuck to the trunk lid itself.

Was able to keep pushing on the release and pushing up and down on the track and got it open. Shooting a lot of P/B blaster on it.
