What is the largest tire using a 6x15 fuch that will fit under a 70 914-6?

205x50x15 depending on what brand. Hoosers won't fit, Kuhmos will. Most other street tires fit fine if your inner fender edge is cut like the later cars.

FWIW, 6X16 Fuchs will work fine also and allow a lower profile tire without screwing up the speedometer. There are a million 6X16 Fuchs out there...

Porsche say you can go to 195/65 on 6 x 15 wheels

If you use 7 x 15 wheels with the same tyres they say you need anti roll bars front and rear (even if you only use the 7" wheels on the back).

Personally I don't know why they say this as my car runs fine on 6" front and 7" back with 195/65 R15 tyres. ....Just had to lean on the rear wheel arches a little to stop the tyres rubbing.

If you put 215/60 x15 on on 7x15 rims on the back Porsche say you should have the wide wheel arches like the GT.

If you put 215/60/15 on 8x15 inch rims Porsche say you have to weld the roof on or fit a roll cage. This is to do with body stresses.

205/55/16 are allowed without any modification on 6x16 wheels, but again if you put 7" rims on the back you need the the anti roll bars......

195x65 is too tall IMHO, yuck.

A 215 will not fit under stock fenders that I know. 205x50x15 will not fit on 7x15 cookies either as the offset is alittle off, now I hear the 7x15 RSR rims will work but those are rare.

For a street tire a 195x60x15 is pretty good size, for better handling a 205x50x15 . Lots do go to the 205x55x16 and get good results. Watch out what the offset is on the rims you buy.

The front is not the problem ..it is the rear and it is tire manufacturer dependent. I run 225X50X15 on sevens with Michelin Cup but reduce to 205X50 X15 with Hoosiers. Sevens will work OK in the rear if you roll the fender lip.

I run 205-50x15 Kumho Victoracers on 7x15 cookie cutters with no problem.
Rear fenders are rolled and clearance is tight but no rubbing at the track.
The cookies are from an early 944.

Yes, I run the early 7" 944 cookies but I had to roll the fenders quite abit.
