What was the original spring weight on the rear springs

From memory, something like 80 lbs per inch. Try a search on 914World.

They were actually less. We tested 10 sets and the nominal was 67#. The geometry suggests that 100# was actually optimal for street and light performance applications so we made them to #100. Also made a progressive 140/160 for those that want a more performance application.

I agree, very light, we had the exact ones duplicated for both the four and the six cylinder. We call them 85 and 90 but they are less. we just also duplicated the original boge sach shocks and springs so we can now achieve original factory ride
