1.8 vs 2.0
I have 2 spare 1.8 engines but I am running a 2.0. How many parts will interchange between the 1.8 and 2.0? I am thinking the heads and pistons are different. what about block, crank and rods?

heads,pistons are different. the 2.0 engine is "stroked" so the rods have a smaller big end and the crank has smaller rod journals. I think the book how to build vw race engines has all the interchange info.
