Default Best/Worest Roads

Hey Everyone,
One thing that we all have in common is our love for Porsches. However, how we enjoy them as individuals is always different. I love going on the track and improving my driving skills. But I must admit there is nothing quite like taking the top off my 914 on my favorite road and falling into a perfect rhythm with the road.
Then there are those roads that we get caught on in our Porsches and swear we will never bring them on that road again. So I put the question out there to you, what is your favorite and least favorite roads you have ever driven in you favorite Porsche.
I know my favorite is RT. 1A that runs along the NH coast line. My least favorite not counting being stuck in traffic is I-84 in CT. (so boring). I look forward to you responses. Best wishes - Jay Gratton

The worst- the road from the highway to Snowmass in Colorado during the '78 Parade. They (Pitkin County) decided to put fresh tar on the road the morning of the concours! The best- any road with no cops!!

I must suggest that you reconsider the definition of "worst road". I recall some instances when I was very grateful that there were police on the road on which I was traveling. Think about it for awhile.

It is alittle like saying that we should ban guns from society, because they are deadly....and the right to say that is protected and enforced by ......cops and other citizens carrying guns, and flying armed planes and driving armed boats.....who watch over all of us. Think about that also for awhile. Are you sure you wish to ban what makes us so cocky???

(no, I am not a Smokey)

Hey, I agree that I don't like to be hassled, but I have also been fortunate to have them around also. Don't take it as an offensive gesture. What you are suggesting you are doing is serious business, or you wouldn't be driving a Porsche.

That was an interesting exchange! I like cops, but not in my rear view mirror! Best wishes - Jay Gratton

In your mirror...with their lights on!! (Actually I have a friend who is a state trooper and he once implied he'd like to go out in the 911 with me to see how fast it is... I'm afraid he'd lose his job though.)
