Default Replacing shifter bushing on 912

I purchased a '67 912 racecar, on which the shifting was terrible. I already replaced the shifter linkage coupler with the WEVO upgrade. However, though it is supposed to be easy to replace the gearshift bushing, I'll be da--ed if I can get the shifter out. Removing the three large bolts (two front, one rear) freed up the assembly, but I can't remove it to replace the bushing. Can anybody tell me how to so it?

Thanks,

Rich

Your almost there. There are two additional small nuts that attach a shaft guide - that need to be removed. After they are removed the complete shifter stand will come out.
