Post key blanks

Does anyone know of any sources for key blanks? I have a 69 912 targa which has a lockable front lid release. I am told the key and lock which is no longer available thru Porsche was a holdover from the 356. The part # I have is 644.511.791.11

I got 2 blanks from e-bay for $5.00 for my 69-912. These are ignition keys, when I checked at the local Porsche dealer I was told $25.00 EACH!

Check e-bay and do a search under Porsche 912.

Jim...Stoddard is out. New source is Tony Euganeo @ 610.461.0519 but he is not not cheap. BTW how many keys do you have to operate door, ignition, glove box, & front lid release? My car came w/ no front lid or glove box keys. I have seperate keys (different lenghts)for the ignition and doors. Just got a locksmith to make by glovebox lock work w/ door key which fit but did not turn lock. Key shape for front lid lock is completely different. See bay912 website
Craig another source for keys is

Thanks for your help

I must have gotten lucky as I have 1 key for doors and ignition. I understand the glove box key was seperate and that I do not have.

I did have to rebuild my ignition switch recently and got a "no key" switch and swapped the guts and was able to keep my original key tumbler.

I was on e-bay last night and there are several keys available for ignitions on the 912.
