Default Info needed on 44mm Dellorto Carbs

I am a 928 guy, and mainly EFI at that.

but I am needing to get some info for some 44mm Dellorto carbs that are on a 912 engine. It is running extremely rich 6.83 CO at idle.
I am wanting to see if I can get some suggestions as to what size of needles would be best to start with.
Now to make it challenging for you, I dont know what size of needles are in them now. But I do know that it has a 1750cc big bore kit for the engine and was origonally a 67 912 engine.

TIA

The first thing you need to determine is what carbs you have. If they are 44mm, they are NOT Dellorto. If they are Dellorto, they are not 44mm.
Webers are 36, 40, 44, or 48 Dellortos are 36, 40, 45, or 48.

Once you get that, what are all the jet sizes? Idle jet, main jet, air corrector jet, emulsion tubes, venturi size?

not to highjack your thread Colin, , but i was also wondering if there could be one who could estimate a good starting point for the jets , emulsion tubes, etc in my setup : 4 Webers IDA 48 on a 928 engine...euro 82 4.7l 300HP....
was wondering if someone could predict/calculate what it should be approx.

I will try the "standard" setup as they come , but think it will be tricky to know which things to change and with what # ?

Don't think there are in Belgium many specialists about IDA Webers...

I'm selling the set of 45mm Dellortos on eBay right now.
They never made a 44mm, but weber did. Weber also made a 50mmDCOE if I'm not mistaken.
What it comes down to is the jetting and the choke size, to an extent.
While we're on the subject does anyone know how to tell what the jetting is on a dellorto carb?

You look at the number stamped on the jet.

The first thing you need to do is put in larger venturis. They come with 37mm vents, use at least 40s, I recommend 42s.

I predict your engine isn't going to be 300hp anymore
