'66 912 idiot lights?
My friend has a '66 912 with three guages. The idiot light at the top of the L/H guage just started lighting up. It appears the lower two lights are for oil and generator. So... What's the top one indicate??? Thanks!

Burning Brakes
Paul,
Red = generator - flickering at idle is normal, should disappear immediately off idle if not check the brushes under the band.
Green = Oil pressure - change your oil pump drive gear, the tang wears and oil pressure drops.
both easy fixes, the oil pump drive gear requires removal of the pulley. Good luck.

Hi Peter thanks for the input. The ones you are talking about are the two lights located vertically at the bottom of the gauge, but there is STILL the 3rd light at the very top near the bezel... This is the one I'm trying to identify... Any idea???
Thanks! Paul

Burning Brakes
Paul,
Honestly, I'm not 100% sure the configuration in the 3 gauge cars. The only other light on my (5 gauge) is the white e-brake light. Perhaps you can send a pic or tell me what color the light is.
