What are your thoughts on swapping your 912 engine for a 2165 CB performance type 1 engine??

Sacrilege or upgrade?

If you are gonna do that, you may want to consider a type 4 instead....

Maybe it's because people who post here often get referred to 912bbs.org. Not that it is a bad forum, but I really don't care for the page format over there.

I agree with Steve, go for the type4. For good info on it, do a websearch for "gumby 912".
