Curious to know if the front fenders from a 72 911 will bolt up correctly to a 67 912? Not sure if 1972 is still a short wheel-base year.

They will Bolt , but they are not correct for the 67 MY. The first year of the LWB was 1969.

Ah... So SWB and LWB chassies differ somewhere upfront do they? So how much work would it be to convert to LWB on a SWB car?

i believe its the rear bannana arms. they are a tad longer. or maybe its the a arms?

you would have to change the whole suspension around. why would you want to do it anyways? if you want a lwb, buy a lwb car. personally i like swb's alot better

FYI - there is no change in the front end between the SWB and LB 91/912. Front fender from any long hood (pre74') 911 will fit, but 'joe 912' is correct they are not period correct. That is, they are flared slighty verses the early non flared. The difference between the SWB and LWB car is 2.2 inches added at the rear. A quick telltale is the location of the torsion bar body cap. If that cap is right up on the leading edge of the rear wheel well it's swb if there is a couple inches between them, it's a LWB. They accomplished this by stretching the trailing and banana arms accordingly. This happened somewhere in mid 1968 for MY 1969 cars. All the specifics can be found in 'Performance Handbook''Original 911' etc....etc.....
