Default One for HArry

I just bought a 73.5 911T.... sight unseen (but inspected). Both the owner and my friend who took care of the transaction for me are color blind - I swear this is no joke !

They said the car is brown, but it looks burgundy to me... Maybe I am color blind too. I can see both opinions, seems in between. Harry, is this similar to your 912 or not ? Thanks !

its definitly not burgundy. perhaps aubergene.. looks like its a metalic finish.. if so it wouldnt be burgundy or aubergene. your best bet is to go to an early 911 website and check the color code.

btw, great lookin car!

its too 'purple' to be brown. not red enough to be burgundy.

Hi Greg...I don't know what color is yours but it is definitely not "Aubergine"...Aubergine is more like purple, check the 1974 911 Targa I'm attaching...this one is Aubergine!

Agreed, definiltely not that. More brown, or more burgundy.... Oh well, I'll know for sure in 2 days after x hours passing security checks and X hours of flight ;-) The things you do for Porsches ;-)

me when i was 19

the paint was done by stoddards in 84 for $6,409 with tax.. this is in 1984 dollars too! i wouldnt be able to afford a paint job like that today. thank god one of my previous owners wasnt an idiot and had somthing done right. (some of the others were idiots though).
