Default Wanting a 912 to join my modern 911GTS

I have had a 2023 911 GTS since new in July of that year. I have put 8,000 miles on it. What a car. I’ll skip the rest and say that I really enjoy the classic shape and cars at cars and coffee and believe the “fun to drive a slow car fast”. So I have decided on a 1969 912 as my Northeast Ohio community is vey strong for the 356. (Out of reach financially).

Pre 1970 911’s are out of reach. I was born in 1967 so this is sort of a birth year car.

The 912 appeals as:
“ it has the engine that made the company famous, and the body that made it a legend “

My mechanic has worked on this car for the same 80+ year owner since 2005 and states it needs nothing but to be driven.

Take a look at the pics and let me know thoughts as to value. Any other suggestions, ideas or watch outs appreciated.

I have a modern (991.2 4s cab) and just picked up a 68 912 - my first classic. The juxtaposition of the two is awesome. As someone right around the 50 mark, my life has had one foot in the analog world and one in the digital. And like most, the older I get the more nostalgic I get….the esthetics of this generation are perfect- just drop dead gorgeous…and it’s a blast to drive, you almost don’t notice that your dropping from 500 hp to 90

as for value… 60ish? I’d take a look at the price graph on BaT. Handful of 912s have recently traded hands (including mine)
