912 engine into a VW T2
Hi,
I have a 70’ VW T2 Single cab. I’ve been VERY fortunate and picked up a complete 912 engine in parts which I am in the process of building (I work in a classic Porsche workshop).
Does anyone know if this has been done before or have any advice on what modifications will be needed? Obviously tinware, I’m also trying to get my head round the engine mount as the VW one is mounted to the engine lower down than a 912.
Throttle linkage might be a pain but I think will be possible.
My other concern was the clutch. Will a standard 912 flywheel / clutch assembly work with a VW T2 gearbox?
Many thanks,
Henry

I am going to help someone with the same conversion on their 68 type 2. Have you made any progress on yours since the last post?
Did you configure the rear mounting bracket?
What are you going to use for the sheet metal?
Thanks, Rob
