Default 912E Clunk at startup

My car started making this strange noise when starting. It has done it a couple times when shutting down. The car is in neutral and even makes the sound when the clutch is engaged at startup. Does anyone know where to check?

Hopefully the movie uploads. Please ignore the carbs puffing. It was a cold start and I am still tuning them.

Check and make sure that fan shroud is bolted securely to the case and that the rabbit fan is also securely bolted in place. It almost sounds as though the squirrel fan is slapping around and hitting the shroud.

Also a good idea to get underneath it and make sure the starter is mounted securely.

It ended up being the starter. The solenoid wasn't pulling the pinion back in properly. I replaced it with a high torque starter and all is good now.
