And I thought I was confused before I posted to the 912 forum to start this thing. Got to admit, you guys do know your cars. I think the 912 link Harry posted will get him in the ballpark. Not sure if he has any other 912E examples to compare to but it's good start. Thanks Again...good thing I didn't ask what the best 911 was.

best? for my money a 67 soft window targa. 1st year targa.. sioft window mind you, short wheel base, and no smog crap to biog the engine.
best coupe.. 65 coupe, with painted dash, and 3 gauge cluster.. classic early look!

Three Wheelin'
Best 912 is the 1969! Only year with long wheelbase/upgraded suspension/slight fender flares... I could be biased though.
Best 911? Wow... the mind reels! I'll agree with the 67S... awesome car! 73 RS? Again, a legend! 911R? Dare to dream... Seinfeld's got one, maybe he'll sell! I'm also partial to the 73 911S, the early 930s with the on/off boost and of course, the 89 Turbo with the one-year-only 5-speed tranny in the classic impact bumper body. As a nod to the late-model boys, the new 996 GT3 is a wicked car as well. Wait! I almost forgot the 959... damn, there's too many "best" 911s...
