Cannot get back pulley which goes onto the dynamo spindle square on. Wobbles about with shims needed to bring pulley back away from dynamo case. Am I missing something?

The metal might be totally fatigued and warped. I have a 66 and a few years ago the rear pulley half split about halfway out from 50+ years of belt abrasion… who da thought!!!

+1 on metal fatigue, or something shifted , my 912 needed all sort of new parts that looked just fine to the eye when I was restoring it
