Default 912E clutch stiffness?

hello- long time 997/991 owner recently traded my 991 in on a macan turbo for the wife. I'm considering getting an air cooled but the clutches on the ones I've looked at are too stiff for my 65 year old back and left knee long term. Is the clutch significantly lighter on the 912E than on the 911's of that era and after? Appreciate the help!

They are lighter, but not significantly. The lightest clutch you can find on any air-cooled car would be on the hydraulically assisted ones in the 993 C4/C4S and Turbo. Everything else has not heavy clutch, but certainly more effort. 912E is probably the lightest/easiest of the non 993 C4 cars.

Coach, when I purchased my E the clutch was a little stiff. Well, when I decided to rebuild my engine and transmission, I found out that the throw out bearing was seized. The PO had a new clutch installed, but they didn't replace the throw out bearing.
